Acknowledging domestic terror threat, Pentagon says troops, recruiters can carry concealed guns
A bunch of "but's" in there though.
A bunch of "but's" in there though.
I hope federal laws trump state carry laws like NJ/NY/MA. ie: permits not required for recruiters from Texas assigned to liberal hell holes. And screw magazine limits.
I spoke to my brother about this yesterday. He is up at Drum. He said the policy is that you must have a valid, local permit. So I told him to change his drivers license from his Staten Island address and apply for a permit in whatever county that is. He doesn't seem to care too much, but I'm going to keep bugging him and maybe offer to buy his first handgun.
"Domestic issue"...troops can carry...permitted private law abiding citizens can't in NY $hitty
Screw it, pistol grip shotgun behind the desk then.Nope, the regs say must meet state and local requirements.

I am all for this. It was the Clinton's that disarmed the military way back when. Back then islaofacist terrorism was a criminal offense. Now, because Obama thought is was a good idea to stop fighting them in their back yard we are now fighting them in our own back yard.
Thanks for that Obozo.
active duty and guard/reserve do not need carry permits. Their military training covers them. They get qualified and documented for the arms they carry. Must be qualified on any rifle/handgun/etc they carry. That's how it was and I assume today after being retired military since 2003.
While on orders. What about driving home or going to the grocery store? Also how many are qualified on hand guns?We carried all the time while on orders...on or off base
Under orders there are no State restrictionsThere are so many IFS WHEREAS etc that the statement is ridiculous. Especially the one about complying with state and local laws.
