I completely agree with the NRA and ACLU’s thoughts on this. It’s over an NYS government representative telling financial institutions and others to cut ties and stop doing business with the NRA because it’s political stance. It worked and they lost support and services. The government can’t do this and the ACLU says others could do this to anyone else.

It’s about them preventing the right from limiting the rights of people they want to protect. All you have to do is find an article and read all about it. They even say this ain’t right and it could happen to an abortion provider if we don’t stop it. I do believe that’s what it’s about in this case since it makes good logical sense.

I had to dredge this out of the recesses of my memory.
In 1977 the American Nazi party won the right to march in the primarily Jewish community of Skokie, IL. The case went all the way to the Supreme Court.
The ACLU represented the Nazis.
This was lampooned in the 1980 Blues Brothers movie.

They aren’t supporting the second and they make it clear that they don’t support the NRA or what they stand for. What they are doing is using the NRA and their money along with their lawyers to prevent red states from doing what NYS did to the NRA to abortion and LGBTQ people. NYS said don’t do business with the NRA and don’t provide them banking services or other things and it hurt them. The ACLU is trying to prevent that from happening to the causes they support.
