Marine Cpl
.577 Tyrannosaur.
This came up on my feed. I wasn’t looking for it. Poor ACP.
Pines are pussies......try messing with an Oak!!!!The next time that pine tree in the front yard makes a threatening move, I'll know which caliber and bullet to choose.
The tree did try something last summer, but I shived it a couple of times and it backed off.
Barrier penetration. It’s the reason why the ACP is rarely adopted by law enforcement. Not every shot will be a clean, uninstructed shot at a chest. Shooters can fire at you while taking cover behind park benches, trash cans, wooden sheds, aluminum sheds, wall corners, cars, ect. A higher velocity round has a better chance of making cover into concealment. Not exactly sure why shooting FMJ at pine boards would be important.
The way I see it 9mm got beat by the ACP, 45 "killed" more pine.
9mm killed 3.6 square inches of pine where the 45 killed 3.84 square inches.

Actually, I agree with you!! I've gone to a faster round with a very specific ammunition selection that includes coverage of barrier situations.
Try Underwood Ammo and Buffalo Bore ammo. Both are loaded to what they are supposed to be loaded to and both ship to door. This is why after a few years of my own testing, ive landed on 357 Mag, 357 Sig and 10mm for EDC.
However, the 10mm factory loads are pretty weak compared to my friends hand loaded 10mm. I really need to start loading my own.
I know but they are too expensive, I shoot alot.Try Underwood Ammo and Buffalo Bore ammo. Both are loaded to what they are supposed to be loaded to and both ship to door.
Well for carry they can’t be beat. I wouldn’t carry reloads.I know but they are too expensive, I shoot alot.
My buddy makes me 100 rounds for $40 of hot 10mm rounds.
Im always amazed just how powerful they are. The go straight through a 10 inch thick tree........in and out straight through.
I do have a few boxes of BB and Black Hills bonded HP.Well for carry they can’t be beat. I wouldn’t carry reloads.
Depends on who makes them I guess but I would feel more comfortable with factory ammo. I know with Underwood the velocity is consistent. What's wrong with carrying reloads?
Hope that pig isn’t taking cover behind fences make by 2x4’s!
I'll take the 45ACP!!

By who makes them do you mean a company or in general? I carry my own reloads and feel very comfortable doing so. And the velocity is consistent as well for what it's worth.Depends on who makes them I guess but I would feel more comfortable with factory ammo. I know with Underwood the velocity is consistent.
I was going to make a cop joke but remembered this actual pig laughing at me because I couldn’t get him with my 1911.Why would a pig be hiding?
Yeah depends on who makes them. I bought .223 reloads once from a place in Florida and had a lot of stoppages.By who makes them do you mean a company or in general? I carry my own reloads and feel very comfortable doing so. And the velocity is consistent as well for what it's worth.
ETA: I actually feel a little more comfortable carrying my own stuff as I know exactly what's in it. I've seen squib loads and backwards primers in factory ammo.
