Yeah, real life isn't a bad NCIS:LA episode, where every "bad guy" somehow gets their hands on a full auto M16 or variant (Plus the full auto AR15s that we all know are so easy to get).
With all of the laws regarding F.A. firearms, how did this guy get one?

Just now: 1 suspect in custody from Mandalay Bay hotel room. Multiple weapons found in room. Suspect from Mesquite NV.

Hummer type cars now pulling up to Luxor, men getting out with rifles - NOT police.
