Adding a frame to pistol permit

Has anyone here added a pistol frame to their permit in Erie county? I just tried this morning, but they wouldn’t do it because my receipt from the ffl said “frame only” and didn’t list a caliber. I’m going to ask the ffl to change the receipt, but he doesn’t open till Wednesday.

I know Putnam has a Frame only box on the amendment form.

My ffl was very helpful. He called the permit office and convinced them it was ok. Had my permit card in the mail a few days later.

The new card says “frame only” where the caliber is usually listed. Will I need to get that changed when I finish assembling it, or am I good to go? How would I go about changing it if I needed to? There are no forms for it in Erie county, and I can’t exactly plunk it down on the counter to show them.
