Affidavit vote today. NY Voter suppression?

I moved last year had my license updated November my name was magically missing from the voter registry at my new voting location. I've missed one local election in all my years of voting. If you fill out the Affidavit "wrong" what ever that means ... no vote for you. If you filled it out right but they already booted you off voter rolls no vote for you and no legal recourse because its there word vs yours. Apparently I will get a letter stating if my vote was counted or not.

Happened to my wife tonight too. I assume it was cuz i filled out the change of address form using my name but applied it to both of us from the old address to the new one using the recommended "family" option.
