Ferguson, a Democrat who easily won re-election in November, said the definitions of “assault weapon” used in his bill are similar to those used in laws in New York and Connecticut that withstood legal challenges.
THIS IS EXACTLY why the entire nation and the NRA should focus of challenging egregious statutes like the New York SAFE Act. Once Liberal Progressives in other states see that New York's anti-2A legislators are successful, they seek to duplicate those statutes in their own states. Quite simply, unless actively treated the disease spreads.
Once precedent is allowed to be set, newer anti-freedom legislation becomes easier to enact.

I live in Washington state and can tell you that this has a very low chance of passing. We have a republican senate and believe it or not pro gun democrates. Our attorney general would like to be elected governor next election Unfortunately he has dictatorial leanings
