This will continue so long as people on the more conservative end of the political spectrum allow for the media and technology to be dominated by liberals. If you want serious change in this country, it's going to come from building tech companies that value the bill of rights, and want to foster actually free speech.

Honestly in the next 2-3 years I can see a big movement to get rid of the 2nd amendment. Its because people are angry with the shootings, but the other side is not coming out to counter protest. They are polling people and making stats like I saw the other day from some congress woman 70% of the people want to repeal the 2nd amendment.... wait what..... maybe 70% of the people at one of these anti gun events maybe but thats the shit they are shoveling. Then you get people who watch and read it going.. YEAH LETS GET RID OF THE 2nd amendment too.

Protesting is not the answer. It doesn't matter if you protest, if news about your protest is down voted / it never really gets out there.
There need to be a true, digital, public square. We don't have a real public square anymore, that isn't through the filter of liberalism. And the only fault that such a place doesn't exist, is our own for not building it. Sitting around and pointing fingers as to why such a place doesn't help. We need to start building.

It never stated specific sites but thats what it allows them to do. Control the data. I work in IT I think I know. What do you think controlling Data means ? It means you don't have the right to surf the wide open web. Downloading and streaming as you please. The internet providers and anyone who owns the main infrastructure could block or redistrict access to sites and services as they wish. The main points people knew was yes if you watch netflix well know you need to buy a Streaming package, Oh you like facebook and twitter know you have to pay for the social media package if you want to visit those sites.

You work in IT? That's interesting, because I also work in IT. So appealing to authority here isn't going to shut me down.
Net neutrality does not say you can't charge someone more money if they're using more bandwidth. What it was trying to do was to prevent companies from charging extra fees or monies when other companies are using the same amount of network bandwidth.
Now, fundamentally, that makes sense to me. If Netflix is using a high amount of bandwidth, they should be charged higher amounts of money for that bandwidth to use on an ISP's network. The peering agreement that needs to RENEGOTIATED pricing wise to make it fair. Yet the fact that the packets came 'from' Netflix should not matter here.

Are you for or against Net Neutrality? Because I'm arguing FOR it, and it seems as though you're also against the idea of an ISP being able to selectively shut off access for someone to specific websites "just because."
