Fox News is reporting that Alan Colmes has died after a short illness at 66. Having watched that ultra liberal douchebag spout his bullshit on endless topics through the years, I am pretty damn happy to see him gone.

I never agreed with his thoughts, politics or ideas, but I enjoyed watching him. I enjoyed watching Hannity and Colmes. He may have always been wrong, in my eyes, but he was very steadfast in his beliefs.

Maybe my memory is off, but I don't remember him being the worst. He seemed like an ok guy that was just progressive. He was a clear biased commentator and that's ok he made his beliefs known and you knew where he stood.

Personally, I saw him spout off his far left views, and launch his relentless attacks on what I considered to be be both reasonable and righteous positions of conservatives, that it got to the point for me that I could no longer tolerate even watching him anymore.

I've grown very tired of liberals who attack us endlessly using emotion instead of facts.

So I consider the fact that he is now gone, and prematurely so, to be a good thing. Just my opinion.

I enjoy some good discussion and banter back and forth as well, as long as you can defend your position with well reasoned thought and facts. True, he did not have the power of elected office to alter your life. But constantly attacking conservative ideals in the court of public opinion can have a negative effect on your way of life by exerting influence on others who can end up affecting your way of life.

In his case, I grew very tired after watching him literally dozens and dozens of times. It just seems to me that his positions were indefensible when confronted with facts, and yet he continued to spout them off using mostly emotional points to defend them. And I grew very tired of it.

Thats a key point... having the power to alter my life. In his case, because of his popularity and national platform he had the ability to influence the sheep, and those sheep vote in politicians that DO alter my life.

I dont begrudge anyone for living the life they choose, but even a single progressive that votes for anti constitution politicians are actively trying to control how i live my life, and steel my money, and my freedoms. That is something i dont like. So no tears will be shed, and no respect given to the progressive activists of this world. Now, that doesnt mean ill trash someone once they die, but i might depending on how "evil" i perceived them to be.

For example; when scumhole dies i will feel relief and say "finally" same with obozo, scummer, sharpton, feistein, pelosi, durbin, breyer, ginsburg, and all the other radical, leftist, activists.

Perhaps ive become bitter over the past several years after watching these criminals destroy the country i grew up in, but whatever the case, i have no tolerance for them.

Sorry pal, we frequented the same deli at lunch and I saw him many times. No armed security, just a friendly smile. This was in Manhattan where most people were in complete agreement with his politics. I won't pretend to know what is in another mans heart but I don't think he would be happy at the utter vitriol that is now commonplace in our current political "dialog".

No he didn't. According to a friend of mine, you could approach him on the street and talk to him. No security. He was a nice man and if you didn't know, his sister in law was Monica Crowley. Yep. That one.He walked the talk of his convictions. He was a nice man who should be respected even if he was wrong.

I was always overwhelmed that anyone could be 100% opposite my way of thinking on damn-near every social, economic and political topic. I often yelled at him through the TV, but I respected his passion. I understand he was a very nice person and big on animal rights issues. RIP Alan.
