The sad thing is that he doesn't view it as having to explain SAFE to fly over, he really honestly believes that what they did that night was righteous and good. He's that blind and arrogant. He has that "I know best what you need..." mentality. It's disgusting.

That's a good point, not only did FUAC sign the NY UNSAFE Act into law.
FUAC used the M.O.N. when there was NO emergency and in the middle of the night.
During any campaign the potential voters in other states would find out not only did he shove
a unconstitutional gun control law down NYers throats. He did it in a bullshit and corrupt way.
Not only that,
FUAC also disbanded the Mooreland commission, when the investigation got to close to him.
Also, even with the just about the highest taxes in our country he still thinks we should pay for
Prisoners to get a free education, Free college for the students, and a defense fund for illegals.
Also the stagnant upstate economy, anti fracking and so much more as you all know.
These are all things that his political opponent could smash him over the head with.
Yeah Clinton had some serious baggage and still did OK considering, but FUAC is no Hillary.
I don't think that he would stand a chance. I don't think that he would even make it through the Dem primaries.
IMO the lefties would go for another jerk off but not FUAC.

The problem would be if cuomo got his name out there in the usual liberal cesspools of America like Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and the usual big welfare cities like NYC. Those few liberal cities alone could put cuomo in the White House but hopefully the Electoral College will do its job and even things out.

Don't bet on it. Gun control legislation is very popular in many urban areas (read: Democrat population strongholds) in the South. Even in Texas, Democrats have a lot of support in Austin, Houston, and Dallas.
