Albany gun show

Anyone/any vendors here going to be at the Albany gun show at the Polish Community center this weekend? Jan.14-15th

I will probably go, just wanted to make sure I didn't miss a chance to maybe meet some of you guys.

Kidding aside, how would a gun show work? You find a pistol you like and pay for it. Then you drive all the way to fucking Herkimer County to get that stupid receipt stamp and the new pistol list card from the sheriff's office. Then drive all the way back to Albany to take possession. You'd have to go to the gun show at like 9 AM and hope to fuck that the sheriff department is even open at noon on Saturday. I sure do miss Georgia sometimes. Not the rednecks or the heat, but the gun shows there were epic.

Come to the big albany show on 21-22. Far better.

I used to do the polish center......but just not enough people coming through the door to make it worth while for me.

Just got back....got to meet Bullet Guy, and company !! What a great bunch to deal with...picked up an upper. a Spur and the Patrick Henry trigger guard, can't wait to get this together. Also stumbled across a 500rd case of BrownBear x39 for (w/tax!!) $130.00 !! Score I think................still kicking myself in the ass about the Russian SKS I saw. #'s matched, I'd give it a 7 on 1-10 scale for $525.00 and I left it..............did I do a bad thing ? Had a great day all in all !!

Went to the Albany show today. Had three handguns in a green cloth shopping bag, with paper sign stapled to it and showing what I had for sale, all hung around my neck. It got heavy quick but light enough soon enough too. I sold two of the pistols to a dealer for above what I would have accepted had it been at the end of the day. Was there maybe 45 minutes to an hour at most when he said he would take them. He almost took all three. One was a High Standard M-101 Duramatic and the other a S&W 22A-1. I have some cash in my pocket now for another gun but not for anything there. Most prices were way too high although some were okay but then not on anything in which I was interested. Saw a tin of Russian(?) 7.62x54R going for $220 that made me wish I had 4 or 5 instead of only 3 so I could sell a few.

Show was crowded. Could not tell if dealers were selling a lot or not. All I bought was a t-shirt for my son. Was happy to get out of there with cash in my pocket.

$525 for that Russian SKS is actually a pretty good price for NY, I'd say. The ammo is also a good price, especiallyfor a NY gun show.

I couldn't go today, as I promised to spend the day with Mrs. POP, but I'll be going to the show tomorrow.

had an interesting start to the gun show...............pulled into the first bay of parking garage, followed the tail lights. Two trucks ahead go thru, car ahead of me ( I am in a car too) Trooper directs car ahead of me and me to park on the side.WTF?..............other trucks keep being waved thru............woman comes over takes our plate # and wants to see my license...hand it over DOUBLE WTF ????..............a few min. go by, trooper comes over and says it should only take a couple of minutes.......WHAT will..............I ask is there a problem....can't find me on ''THE LIST'' ...................I finally said I'm not a vendor..............THAT was the ISSUE, I pulled into the vendor lot ( which was clearly NOT marked as such) guy ahead of me was in the same boat.....license returned sent on our way.......!!! So DO NOT go into the first lot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there is a pretty nice Russian sks w/ matching #'s there for $525.00............it's in the upper tier area, can't remember where exactly. BulletGuy is to the immediate left as you enter.............keep going until you meet another stairway leading from a level above to where you are standing, another 75' and you are there!!
