Just put my order in, will have some new gear to review soon. I bought the two holster deal, one the OWB slide, and the Cloak Tuck 3.0.. will be a good comparison to my existing rig, a G23 in a Halfmoon from Kholster. I am looking forward to seeing how well the M&P Shield 9 carries. The slim profile seems like it will just disappear, and it has to be more comfortable than the Glock. I like the Kholster, but they are not in business at this time. Alien Gear has a lot of good feedback so I felt comfortable going with them.

The Shield runs great, by the way. I can't wait to get a couple hundred more rounds through it.

I got mine a week or so ago. So far I like it. I have a feeling the backing is going to start coming apart based on the way it curls at the edge on the bottom side, but we'll see. With the lifetime warranty, I'm not too worried.

I have a 2.0 I like it alot, the back doesn't hold up on the 2.0 , they have stopped selling it. I can say that I get a new back from them every 6 months and they exchange it for free no shipping no problem no questions.I just email them saying I need a new one and they send it. I'm looking forward to hear about the 3.0

It's on their website, two holster special and you get 20% off the order. Picked up both holsters for $70 shipped, which is what I expected to pay for one so I thought it a bonus. Will have an OWB for training and IWB for every day.

Ive had my 2.0 for almost 2 years and its still like new. I use it all day, everyday. I also have the OWB Slide yhat I do use occasionally but I dont like that the gun touches your skin if you dont tuck in your shirt. I see the new Slide OWB are far better and they have fixed that problem.
I also use these holsters for my Shield.

I called them about upgrading to the 3.0. Unbelievably they said just pay 8 bucks for shipping and they will send me the improved 3.0 back to use with my shells. Very cool of them I thought. They slso said they would give me the new OWB for just shipping also.

Oh, I also have their belt. It is very nice and holds my GP100 and SR1911 so secure I forget they are there.
Also look at the deal where you get 15 bucks off the belt when you order the 2 holster deal. Cant beat their prices or warrenty.

I use one for my Glock 43. I too also bought their belt. These are both firsts for me. My first concealment holster and first gun belt. They seem to work well but I have nothing to compare them to. I would like to try a more minimal holster for the small Glock, it just seems like too much holster for a small gun. IMAG0590.jpg IMAG0589.jpg

I also bought a 3.0 but hate it. Too large a rig, screws keep falling out. I went with a N8 squared tactical. Very nice unit.
Entire gun is covered so it doesn't touch skin.

Ive had an alien gear belt for 6 months or so seems to be holding up just fine. I also have a 1.0 cloaktuck I've modified for appendix carry I'll post pics later

I'd like to see that. Cloak gear is very large for appendix.

I tried an Alien Gear holster (2.0) a year ago, sent it back for a refund. No pictures but the trigger guard didn't completely cover (there was a small gap at the rear), and seemed to have too much material for a smaller pistol. I found similar complaints online.

Ended up biting the bullet (so to speak) and splurging on a Stealthgear USA "mini" holster.. quite expensive (double the Alien Gear's price), but much more comfortable. Been meaning to post a mini-review of it.

Must have been a dud, mine has none of those problems and is extremely comfortable. Ive spent alot of money on holsters but this 30 dollar AG is the best so far.

I've got two, one for a Sig P226 and another for my EDC XDS. Both have a lot of use on them and have held up just fine.

As for the screws coming loose, Alien Gear recommends you use a little loctite on them. If you do you shouldn't have any issues with it.

Thats what mine looks like too, but the gun fits snug and there is no chance of a negligent discharge, the trigger is very secure.
I do see your concern and agree you did the right thing, you must be comfortable with your EDC.
I also hear you about the "to much material for a smaller pistol". I like the extra material, it keeps the gun very secure all day and makes for an easy draw. Even with the extra material I cannot feel the gun when I carry it, its as comfortable as haveing nothing there, its completely unnoticeable to me.
Then theres the Cloak Slide OWB. Talk about to much material. The new OWB is a huge improvement and also has the removable paddle option.

It was in the mailbox! Super fast order to delivery turnaround. Wore for three hours almost, in the configuration that it came with. Driving I definitely noticed it digging into my side a little, will need to find the best setup for edc. But all else, I am liking this. There is almost zero gap around the trigger guard, the first thing I looked at. Really like the neoprene against the skin. I never thought the leather was a problem either, though. Good retention, and of course it disappears on my hip.

I found for mine I adjusted it and low as it should go. This made th gun disappear and also was more comfortable. The draw back is that you have to practice you draw because it is more difficult.

I tried wearing mine with a regular belt it was night and day difference. A proper gun belt makes all the difference. I also find it's more comfortable to carry with the belt really snugged down. I seem to always forget this and use my normal holes. If I do use the normal ones I grind that the how I'll start to shift it's position from 3 to 4:30 until a belt loop gets in the way.

Here's what my 2.0 looks like after 6-8 months of daily use all the red paint lines are where the plastic is broken inside the backing
They sent me a new one , with new hardware got it today.

Belt is key, I went and picked up this one from Magpul. It's got a plastic/rubber inside layer that keeps things in place. I went to wear my 3.0 today with a normal belt and instantly felt the difference.
