An unarmed security monitor in a golf cart was the first person to see Nikolas Cruz step out of an Uber, a large bag in hand, and stride toward Building 12 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High just before the worst school shooting in state history.

Cruz, however, was no stranger to staff.

"Nikolas Cruz. I knew the kid," security guard Andrew Medina told Broward detectives in a sworn video-recorded statement released by prosecutors on Tuesday evening.

As soon as Cruz began walking "like on a mission" toward the building, Medina followed and began frantically texting fellow security guards. "We had a meeting about him last year and we said if there's gonna be anybody whose gonna come to this school and shoot this school up, it's going to be that kid," Medina told detectives on the day of the Feb. 14 shooting.

The youth segment of society is detached from the concept of responsibility. Social media gives them instant gratification. They are in denial of consequences and the monsters their generation creates. The scary part is the vision of kids they will spawn and fail to raise. Breeding stock for the progressive liberals.

I'm sure many will disagree, and some may be offended, but I believe that our own legal system has played major role coupled with laziness and a taste for the easy way out.

Lawyers have made it commonplace to sue EVERYONE they can see for things that would've been considered "normal" discipline in our youth. Nowadays you can even simply correct a student or child for fear of a massive lawsuit as a response. Adults have become too lazy to put forth the effort to raise children with discipline and values. These children grow up and further the erosion. Lawsuits for "emotional distress" are just a waiting jackpot and weak judges allow them to play out with tons of cash.

Few people have personal self respect, manners, or the fortitude to actually work hard for what they want. They'd rather take the easy way out. Lazy.

I've seen this happen in just my generation alone. There are of course other technological multipliers but I think this has happened over a relatively short period of time and will continue to get worse unless it gets turned around.

The whole bullying nonsense has gotten out of hand. Did this asshole shoot up his school because he was picked on, or was he picked on because he was an anti-social mental defective who was unable to function in society? Even if this guy got all the hugs and pats on the ass to which he felt entitled, he still wouldn't have been voted prom king.

From what I can see we ARE blaming that sick fuck for what he did.
What we are doing, by trying to deduce his motive, is find an effective and accurate solution to reduce the number of instances, without penalizing law-abiding citizens.
There is no justification for what he did. No amount of bullying that should have driven an otherwise mentally stable individual into committing such a heinous act.
But there is also no justification for bullying, whether he was anti-social or not.
If everyone was raised properly the bullies wouldn't have picked on him, and he wouldn't have shot up a school if he were bullied. He would have known that he could have gone to the school authorities about their bullying and gotten it stopped (supposedly). Or he would have been raised to understand that words are just words, they can't hurt you if you don't let them, and only when/if it becomes physical should he respond and pound them into dirt.
But it takes people caring and interacting with children to teach them these lessons. Not stuffing them into a pigeon hole and collecting their pay and walking away.
