What an idiot. There's 54 states.
If prop one goes through this state is probably doomed.Down here in Westchester, there are areas where every house that has a sign has a Hochul sign...and one for "Vote 'Yes' on Proposition 1."
From this I've learned: Republicans down here do not put up signs and that I definitely want to vote "no" on proposition 1 (goddamn climate change idiotic boondoggle).
I’m not far from Buffalo so I would expect to see hochul signs. Also there are democrat signs on lanes, but oddly they are missing hochul and a lot of this occurring. I’ve never noticed this in the past.Down here in Westchester, there are areas where every house that has a sign has a Hochul sign...and one for "Vote 'Yes' on Proposition 1."

Do you even know what a pole watcher is?I was considering voting early, and I was about to post here that I had made up my mind that I was going to hold my nose and vote for Lee Zeldin, as much as I don't like or trust the man.
Then I just saw a new ad from Zeldin talking about threats to his family and his daughters and saying that on his first day in office he is going to 1. declare a crime emergency, 2. end cashless bail and 3. fire weak prosecutors.
Okay, so the governor has the power to fire "weak prosecutors" elected by their county. But we don't need more governors taking advantage of "emergencies" to suspend duly enacted laws. New York's "cashless bail" reform is a disaster, but the governor unilaterally changing the terms of pretrial detention on an emergency declaration is an act of tyranny. "Emergencies" like COVID-19, "January 6", "9/11" etc. are what put us in the situation we are in. The legislature made this mess and the legislature should fix it.
I'm still probably going to vote for him as the apparent lesser evil to Hochul, but this after his previous "ha-ha I can't, won't and wouldn't do anything about abortion in New York" ad really tells me all I need to know about the guy. 100,000 babies murdered a year in New York, and now no limits on their age while the taxpayers fund it and bring mothers in from across the country to kill their babies, and his hands are tied and there's nothing he could or would do about it. An uptick in crime centered in urban areas and he can purge DA offices, declare an emergency and suspend laws to put people in jail. Fuck this guy.
Usually there's a cover charge, drink minimum and a stack of $2 bills involved in becoming a pole watcher.
He is amazing! Love him.... hoping he sticks around if he does not win.
We can take back the State Senate too..... that would be HUGE! Much hope if that happens. So, on the eve of election day....
Aside for the douche bag running for Congress against Higgins, I will be voting straight ticket.
Lee has a better chance of winning this election cycle than any other Republican in a very long time.
I will happily cast my vote for him and his team.
I am not sure which way this will go. I am near to the point that I do not care either way. My mind is made up to leave regardless of who wins.
Lee Zeldin cannot save NY. He can only slow a few things down. In time, the entire State is going to crash.
If Kathy the Cu^! wins, I hope all that vote(d) for her get exactly what they are wishing. She will continue the path of destruction in NY. Each day that has passed with her has been worse than the day prior.
All of those that do not vote correctly on election day, I can only hope your future in NY is miserable and pain filled.
Haha you are funny.Any chance Schumer gets beat?
Still don't understand how local governments are allowed to infringe on rights. States can't just decide to ignore Constitutional rights or obstruct them. Governor Wallace tried that in 1963 and the response from President Kennedy was to send armed National Guardsmen to Alabama to arrest the Governor if he didn't allow segregation. This was a Democratic Governor and a Democratic President. The President did the right thing. The Supreme Court ruled and the President backed it up.He can do nothing about that in practical matter. That is a county or city fee. It cost me $20 to apply and $0.00 to renew/recertify.
A governor on their own can not change laws and likely the assembly and state senate will still be held by democrats so you should know what that means. With that being said he has voiced his support for us as gun owners and the 2a. How much of that is BS to win the election is to be seen if he wins.
Let me break it down for you hochul wants us to have no guns and so does Biden and Garland so who will enforce this? The PBA in NYS supports hochul because she promised them a 2% raise. The supreme county enforces nothing and has no enforcement powers and the only enforcement from the national guard or military at this point would be to take our guns since Biden mostly controls them.Still don't understand how local governments are allowed to infringe on rights. Now, you have governors, mayors, etc not only infringing on rights, creating schemes to make it hard to access those rights, and thumbing their nose at the ruling of the Supreme Court. Yet still nothing is done about it. If the police or the military actually arrested those that obstructed in this way, politicians wouldn't be so inclined to take away those rights. But I understand your point and thank you for responding to the post. I know there are a lot of lawsuits now and the Gun Controllers are losing but it should't take lawsuits. The Supreme Court ruled and politicians are breaking the law yet no arrests.
I'm a registered Democrat. However, I've never voted along party lines. I voted for the individual I thought would do the best job no matter what party they were from. But now, with how radical the government is in NY, I'm voting all Republican. To me this is far beyond the second amendment. If we allow politicians to choose which rights we can have or not have, then it creates a precedent for any right to be buried in fees and threats of punishment. Next I'll be told to pay a fee to my local police to have the freedom to say what I want to say, or a fee to prevent illegal search and seizure of my home. Enough is enough. I mean, what stops any local government from creating fees for every civil right we have?
We were looking to leave NYC and buying a house further north. What county are you in?
He won’t. Only a democrat has the balls to do this and get away with it. The republicans are so nothing morons that squander every chance they get.HOW A "GOVERNOR LEE ZELDIN" COULD FREE NEW YORKERS FROM UNCONSTITUTIONAL GUN CONTROL LAWS
answer .. Pardon them now you can watch the video below if you want to .. no victim .
6 min mark
New York's Governor has the authority to pardon individuals convicted of violating New York's Gun Laws. If elected, a "Governor Lee Zeldin" should use the pardon power to address any gun control laws designed to punish gun owners.
If ever there was proof that he is a "do nothing career politician", SchumerFirst time ever I saw Schumer with a 'vote for me' ad on tv, was last night.
Lucky you. Every night on ch8.First time ever I saw Schumer with a 'vote for me' ad on tv, was last night.

is campaigning on his win for a 2010 law he helped pass in response to a 2009 plane crash.
