IF Dementia Joe is replaced by the Democrats (or if he, for whatever reason, becomes essentially comatose or worse), then what the hell happens ?

Isn't it too late to place another name on the ballot ?

I am concerned some Democrat "Flavor of the Month" could sail to victory.

ie, Michelle Obama

Or would Kamala remain on the Biden Ballot and votes would default to her ?

Most will disagree with me, but I do not fear Kamala as much as I do Joe. Joe is a mindless puppet. Kamala might prove more arrogant, and less compliant.

Biden could die a few weeks before the election and the democrats would use every legal maneuver known to man to put a replacement on the ballot.

I believe SCOTUS will be deciding this one, or maybe we'll have a civil war.

We had Elections during our last Civil War. Abe Lincoln got re-elected and then, assassinated by agents of the side that lost the War.
We had Elections during WW2, Korea, and Vietnam (with all the national and international turmoil, assassinations, riots, strikes, an average of one airplane hijacking every 5 days, 137 airplanes hijacked in US from 1968-72, Red Brigade, PLO, IRA, Black Panthers....)

In 1972 most of the Dems were more conservative than most of our Repubs today. The progressives were a small, outcast sect and carried no weight in the party. My father, a WWll era vet and everybody I knew from that generation were all registered Dems but were actually hard core conservative. It was a far different political world back then.
