My question is why no pic other than the craptactular wrapped in plastic and debris one? He supposedly took them home to clean them off but never took another pic.
If it is indeed a m82, where is the upper? I guess its not quite as sensational of a news story to say "Rifles missing the most important parts to fire found in river"

How fortuitous that grandpa was a "retired infantry soldier and trained in deploying sniper weapons". Whats the chances?
