Why is that?Thinking of switching one of my builds to one of those ugly ass stocks. I know I'm going to need an ambi safety to run the gun properly. What to you use? Anyone try a 45 degree safety? Do you like it?
Why is that?
Any issue reaching the mag release?Cause you cant turn the safety back on without the ambi.
With the ambi you use your right index finger to engage the safety.
No. It goes off no problem. Putting it back on safe is out of reach though. A break of the trigger hand and you can put it back on with your index finger from underneath. I never put on an ambi because I didn't feel the need to. After the shooting stops, it can go back on safe easily by reaching it from underneath.Any issue reaching the mag release?
You can reach the mag release without altering your grip whatsoever? No. It goes off no problem. Putting it back on safe is out of reach though. Yes. Sorry. I though you meant the safety earlier. You can reach the mag release without altering your grip whatsoever?
can you get your nose to the charging handle? Is it possible to get the length of pull as short as an M4 collapsed?Yes. Sorry. I though you meant the safety earlier.
I was able to get nose to charging handle by stretching my neck. I'm 5 foot 7.can you get your nose to the charging handle? Is it possible to get the length of pull as short as an M4 collapsed?
Got it, thanks.I was able to get nose to charging handle by stretching my neck. I'm 5 foot 7.
No. It's the same size as an M4 collapsible fully extended.
Then you would need the ambi then if you can't break your grip and get it from underneath. The reason I ask is that I will be running drills with the gun and will need to engage the safety without letting go of the gun with my trigger hand.
