Sure seems like the proverbial suicide by cop.
Hell, the guy knew he had no license to sell firearms.
Hell, the guy knew he was evading taxes.
Hell, the guy knew he was broadcasting his illegal activities on TV.
Hell, the guy knew he had to be watched by .gov just because of the profession he chose.
Hell, the guy was a moron if he DIDN'T think he was gonna get caught....he was more visible than most because his activities were 'out there' for all to see.

I used to watch both this and 'Sons of Guns'.. I preferred this (no not for the daughter, okay maybe a little), but like others have said he was very arrogant. Negotiating prices down super low (after flying in with his helicopter), then after he gets back to the shop he makes a great profit. I can just imagine one of the sellers watching the program and getting upset, kind of like 'Pawn Stars'.. where they whine about 'well it'll sit here forever and never sell..' and then it sells by the end of the episode. (could also be scripted in a way)

I'm honestly surprised Discovery never looked up to make sure he had an FFL..

It's a shame that both of these shows had such legal issues, they were bringing a lot of non-gun-owner viewers into the fold.

LOL I remember one show where he flew his chopper to a guys house. Some rich guy was selling his entire gun collection and "mr Arrogant threw a wad of cash on the guys table and said "thats all I'll pay for 'em" (meaning the entire collection) which was a third of what the guy was asking. The guy looked at him and said "You want me to hold that while you go get the rest of the money" ~~~ i just busted out laughing

I also kept thinking, this guy is flying a $10M chopper, just how much is he selling a gun for

I stopped watching "son of guns" when someone dropped a set of Calipers on the floor and Chris started yelling at the guys about a $400 pair of calipers on the floor, I looked at my wife and said "what the hell is he talking about, those calipers are $4 or $5 bucks, I don't think anyone make a cheaper set of calipers. And if you need digital calipers, you don't know how to read calipers to start with" LOL

Not a good track record for the "stars" of reality gun shows on Discovery Channel. That's 0 for 2 for the series.

I think "Sons of Guns" is in the lead as far as most cast members implicated in crimes.

For decent firearms documentaries, I still like "Tales of the Gun" from the 90s. They did some good work with those shows.

Reality TV star Richard Wyatt of Gunsmoke store, 'American Guns' convicted of illegally selling guns

According to court records, Wyatt agreed to surrender his federal firearms license in 2009 for unspecified violations of federal laws and regulations. He allegedly continued to sell guns from his suburban Denver shop by conspiring with another gun shop that had a license.

Prosecutors alleged that after customers paid for guns at Wyatt's shop, they were sent to the other shop to fill out background-check paperwork and pick up the guns.​

It appears that no firearms were sold without background checks...even by Wyatt, who was apparently engaging in a subterfuge.

So...what kind of spotlight does that put on Eric Holder? Answer: none.

When all of a sudden these "Gun Nut" shows started appearing, I am convinced that is was a ploy by typical New York City - Madison Avenue Metros that thought if they aired these shows there would be outcry and backlash from America. The same buttheads that voted for Hillary because they knew she was going to win.

Then they were shocked to their g strings when the shows were a hit. The same guys that do the housewives junk.

Same with Duck Dynasty.
Stupid Morons are also out of touch with America like the rest of the Media types.
