American Tactical Systems for Training?

Has anyone taken any classes from American Tactical Systems in Green Island? I'm interested in their defensive shotgun courses. There doesn't seem to be many Defensive/Tactical Shotgun courses being offered in the northeastern upstate area. I'm in the Adirondacks, so I'll have to drive anyways, but I'm trying to drive less than 150-200 miles for courses.

I shoot there often but have yet to take a class. I have been thinking about taking a few of their courses as I get ready to try and have my restrictions lifted though. I know that doesn't help sorry. I too am curious to hear from people who have.

MDTS has a course coming up in Long Island, that would be about 400 miles one way. It seems like this is a business opportunity, if someone had the training and a decent facility.

I took a First steps Pistol class there when I got my permit. Got more out of it than I thought I would. The instructor (Mike if I recall), was cool and I'm planning on taking more classes with them in the future.
I believe all of the instructors are former LE and/or Military.

A friend of mine took a Practical Tactics for CC class, and also does private training with one of the instructors. He loves the place.

If you can't find anything close by and you decide you're going to travel, consider the Sig Sauer Academy in Epping, NH. I've done their Shotgun 101/102 and their two-day Defensive Shotgun classes. In fact, I've taken Defensive Shotgun three times now. Last time I took it, we ran about 450 rounds (400 bird, 25 buck, 25 slug) and about 100 rounds of pistol ammo. It's a very intense weekend.
