It's ridiculous for these liberal authors of these articles to think that no federal courts except for SCOTUS are binding on them. If that were the case, than what would be the propose of these Appellate Courts be?
District Appelate Courts make decisions that are binding to their districts and SCOTUS is supposed to step in when appealed again or if there are conflicting decisions between districts.
For these authors to think that Federal District Appelate Courts don't apply to them because of State's Rights is ludicrous. These Appelate Courts and SCOTUS are supposed to keep the states in check or else the state can do whatever it wants.
The way it works is the local state Appellate Court's decision stands unless a District Appelate Court assigned to the state overturns that ruling and the District Appellate Court decision stands unless SCOTUS overturns their ruling.

Not just liberal people. Our own DA says the same thing as does many other sites. This is why it is confusing. If the pros can't figure this shit out, how is the every day person supposed to?

There's a big difference between the way we think the courts should work and how the courts actually work.
Right now we've got activist judges at the local, state and federal level who are blatantly disregarding Heller, for example. They're getting away with it because the Supreme Court takes such a small number of cases, and they know its unlikely that their poor decisions will be challenged.

Your own DA is misinformed or wants to be confused on purpose so that he or she can enforce the law that was struck down.
Funny. Why would a District Appeals Court even bother ruling or exist if they can be officially ignored and their rulings meant nothing? What would their purpose be?
It's moronic to think that a state's court's decision is binding, a District court's isn't , and the Supreme Court's is.
