Things have changed since 1976 in my hometown. We had to go to Brewster for main groceries then, until Grand Union and Ames were built. I hear there is even a Wally World now!

I bought Blackhawk 50 cal cans for $7 about 4 or 5 years ago from PSA I think it was. I picked up 2 cases at that price

Honestly, the HF cans are fine with me.

But I will not criticize those whose wish to pay a little bit bit more for genuine USA-MADE cans.

And support a local business.

Back in the late 80's and all throughout the 90's, we used Georgia Arms, exclusively. Mail order ammo company that shipped everything to your door in new USGI Ammo cans. Still have a bunch from then. Website is a skeleton of what it used to be. They had "canned heat" bulk specials, (.223, .45 &.308) that we used to order. All remanufactured and we never had one single issue with any round. They even used to sell "match" .223, using the 52 gr Speer or Hornady BTHP bullet. My old Remington 700 Varmint used to almost stack bullets with these. Sold them in 50 round bags. Think I still have a bag or two of these. This thread got me thinking about getting those new ammo cans, full of that beautiful ammo...sigh...

Wherever you get your cans just make sure they have that rubber lining. That's the difference between a good and bad can.
