Ammo Inventory Time

I completed my ammo inventory, minus partial boxes and what may amount to a few more boxes in with my hunting gear. It took me 5.5 hours to get it done but at least now I am done for another year. I have it on an Excel file and hopefully, from now on, I will remember to enter or delete ammo as it comes and goes which would make it a running inventory and a whole lot easier and less time consuming.

Wanna share an "about" round count?

I keep a running list as well. I have A LOT of ammo but I can not imagine it taking that long to get a number together.

I don't understand. I shoot a lot. I stock up when there is a sale price. Is there a law regarding this? Surely there are many others with vastly bigger quantities.

When I read 5.5 hours, I knew right then your stash was going to be big. We mere mortals stand in awe of your inventory.

I also started to track inventory on a spreadsheet and update it a couple of times a year just so I know when to start re-stocking.

I am in awe many times here when I see and hear the sizes of some members ammo collection.

I have a decent amount saved up, but compared to many here, I am an infant.

I can count my stash in 5.5 hrs too. I just need to start the clock, eat a five course breakfast, watch some TV, count one box an hour, eat a five course lunch, watch some TV, count one box an hour, then total my 'stash'.

I keep my list in my phone that way if I'm out in store I know if I need some or not.
I try to keep it updated as I use/replenish

The boxes sold by repackbox.com in many instances greatly condense storage in 50cal cans. Double or even triple the round count per can. Example: 1600 rounds 9mm, or 1000 rounds 45acp in a single can.

I've only just started and only buy a box or 2 when it goes on sale.

I do not have quite as much Deplorable Me but I do have some ammo. As for the runnning count, I have not been doing it but I should be doing it. As for my ammo, I counted each full box and took my time doing it carefully to make sure I get it right. I also inspect the ammo.
