The gun shop is not going to tell you it's ok. They want you to buy ammo from THEM.I called a gun store, they said you can only either buy it from a dealer or have it shipped to a gun store. You cant even go in and transfer it from 1 guy to another. I cant believe if this is true how bad its gotten here.I hope someone chimes in with different information.....
Yea, I'm going to call bullshit on the Shop: They're happy to do or tell people they're exclusive to any transfers because they're going to benefit financially from it.I called a gun store, they said you can only either buy it from a dealer or have it shipped to a gun store. You cant even go in and transfer it from 1 guy to another. In this state? Hah.Common sense at some point has to prevail here.
Yes this is what I meant. I shoot with my children so if I can sell or transfer ammo to a private citizen at I supposed to make my kids go buy their own ammo and have two boxes of .22’s out when we shoot the rifle together? He loads the mags he shoots out of his box and I load mine out of my box?I think he's also sorta saying common sense along the lines of Private Sellers and Buyers??
I hope?!
Not worth going through all that shit. I’m better of just going to another state. I can’t be bothered. This fucking state is so messed up.They took the lot numbers off of every box of slugs I bought at bass pro today… poor bastard was typing for an hour. $4.99 a box I bought them all

I'm still trying to find this requirement in the new laws.If you want to be extra safe just ask the individual buying your ammo their name, address, occupation, and record this in a book with any identifying ammo characteristics. That’s all that is required right now.
You have nothing to worry about, your Dillion is blue, that's the libs choice of color. On the other hand I use a lot of Lee stuff and that's all red, I'm fucked!Damnnnnn, bro! I better go out to the shop and inform my Dillon... I hope it doesn't have a "naughty" history.
Next question, if the Dillon fails it's background check, does that mean I can't use it no more?
Should I go call the NYSP, and pose these questions when this takes effect in September? See what they have to say about it?
