Nope zero things. Just saying the cops have no clue what they are walking into other some real basic information. I'm not saying impound the pistol, I'm saying they secure it until the encounter is over, not put their back to two guys with a pistol. For all they know the carjacker 5 seconds before they got there overpowered the driver and was the one holding him at gunpoint.

are you sure the victim didn't call the police and say "this guy just tried to carjack me, I have him on the ground at gunpoint, Im black, bald <height> <weight> wearing a striped shirt and blue jeans, when you arrive I will lay my gun on the ground, so we have no misunderstanding"

I agree, he has no idea who is coming at him. The cop should have had his gun removed to start. Are we supposed to believe that just because they are a cop they are "good?" Ha.
