That's what I want to know. I hear all this talk with these new rulings that all the assault weapon bans have to be lifted but I cant seem to find anything about it actually happening.

It’s only been ten yrs. , pretty fast for “the wheels of justice”.
I believe we shall see tangible results sooner than later.

No it doesn’t, the 9th has no jurisdiction over NY. Unfortunately NY will have to wait for the 2nd.

The precedent has already been set with SCOTUS. All that needs to happen is for a suit to be re-brought against the safe act and it shouldn't pass muster in the lowest court.

I'm actually surprised it hasn't happened yet with the new ruling. The safe act got national attention, so it's a big target.

The 922 parts police have never gotten well organized and inspected any guns yet... and neither have the NYS AW police searched every home for those missing one millio++ AR15's and 20 rd mags.

Only 43,000 registered AW's in the state, by 23,000 owners--I am one of them and I registered ten.............so you do the math.

Like most people I have run into people who begin to say.........I say "STOP talking".....

This AW ban in NYS is as dead as a dodo....like stop and frisk...give it a few months or less..............Comrade Hochul, the wanna be Chairman of the NYS Communist Party..NYSCP, knows all about this new ruling and she is throwing all her gator food across her office...the gator pen.

As others have said, it will take time. The four cases that were remanded back to the lower courts will have to be decided in light of Bruen.

You can expect those courts to sit on their hands for as long as permissible and to accommodate the legal fictions and fantasies of the 2A hostile defendants (State govt's) if there is a whisper of precedent for them to stand on.

In the 9th circuit (CA), it seems the Pro 2A groups have made motions to lift the govt's stay and affirm the lower court ruling to do away with AWB ban outright, or at least expedite oral arguments for September.

I would expect the attorneys for ANJRPC (NJ 10RND magazine limit), and the plaintiffs in Maryland (MD AWB ban) are making similar motions.

However, the 9th, 3rd, and 4th circuit courts do not include New York state (2nd circuit), so the results of those actions will have no immediate effect on the laws of New York.

The Pro 2A groups operating in New York and other jurisdictions will be watching closely, and strategizing off of the arguments made by both sides, and the eventual outcomes.

Those Pro 2A groups in New York will then have to organize plaintiffs in New York, hire attorneys, and seek relief in a court that does preside over New York. The outcomes of those actions will then decide the status of the 2A laws in New York.

In light of the strength of the Supreme Court's opinion and due to the recent retaliatory actions taken by New York state gov't, I am of the understanding some NY Pro 2A groups are not going to wait for the outcomes in those other jurisdictions, and are already planning to take action in the near future, to the extent that they are able.

I would advise Pro 2A residents of New York that NOW is the time to support those Pro 2A groups financially, but conditionally. Make it known to them that you will make a contribution contingent on their immediate and continued action in court. Make it known to them that you will be immensely dissatisfied if they do not take up that fight in the immediate future, and that you will share that dissatisfaction wide and far.

Or people can get off their butts and go toe to toe with New York state in court themselves. File their own complaints seeking declaratory and injunctive relief for violation of their civil rights.

I am not an attorney. I have no desire to be an attorney or make myself a target of retaliation, but do I employ attorneys when necessary and understand the game.

I have no affiliations with any Pro 2A groups beyond doing exactly what I have suggested above; to financially support them to the greatest extent that I am able during this time of opportunity, while making it known that I expect those dollars to be spent on action taken in court.

I have also decided to starve the beast; relocate what I can to friendlier/saner locales and personally be somewhere else 184 days of the year.

I, too, have begun thinking about relocating most of my guns out of State until this shit is either thrown out, or I can finally brush the dust of NY corruption off my shoes.
I'll keep my carry, and maybe one bolt action rifle that doesn't have too much sentimental value, in case I am needed as an example.

Just need to find a safe place to store the rest.
