Maybe a little but... it really is interesting to note the differences between the two. What I got out of the video is that unless you're gonna use the uber hot 10mm like originally intended it's only marginally better than the 45 (if you ignore the soul killing factor). I also just like how this guy does his tests. Very methodical and does the testing as fairly as possible ie same brand ammo, bullet weights, barrel lengths, guns etc. There are so many of these tests on youtube that are utterly worthless because the variables are so different. Like this for instance.

I've been saying for a long time now that if you are going to carry the .45 ACP, carry it in 185 gr so that your velocity is up to a little over 1000 fps. Especially if you carry a 3 to 4 inch barrel. Otherwise, your velocity is down to the low to mid 700 fps range.
Most people look at the grain and say to themselves, "230 gr is heavier and it makes my penis feel bigger. I'm not carrying a pansy ass, light 185 gr!" Yes. But what about your ultra slow as molasses velocity that'll handicap you in penetrating barriers? So you are down to perhaps lower than 700 fps or right about there with your 3 inch barrel and now it has slowed down even more after going through the barrier if it even made it through at all.
A 230 gr in a hollow point isn't going to penetrate significantly deeper than a 185 gr. Both are designed to penetrate between 12 to 18 inches. The 230 gr only shines when in a FMJ or monolithic form and shot into thick soft tissue like an animal. The heavy grain then will be a positive as it's mass will give it the momentum it needs to gain it the penetration to go through thick soft mass.
But what do I know? 230 gr is a man stopper and it'll spin you like a top.

The primary reason I like the .45ACP is with my old eyes I can find my brass at the range. I can never find my 9mm, no problem finding the .45.

So I actually dozed off and missed about ten minutes (somewhere in the middle) of the 10 v 45 video. My conclusion, keep your .45 use 230 grain FMJ. Easy peasy!

So can a high powered pellet gun. The common denominator in all these calibers killing immediately is shot placement and sufficient penetration.
I'm not saying that you but many believe that a large expanding caliber will kill no matter where it hits. Total bollucks. A shot to the stomach with a 10mm will do the same as one from a .380 assuming the .380 penetrated enough. He'll either survive if he can get to a hospital or bleed out minutes later.
