I question how the Supreme Court in 1898 applied English law to an American case as the USA , at that time, was divorced from England. Would seem the Court could use any international law for any situation using that thought process.

The more that I read and study the 14th amendment, the more that I understand the words have been interpreted wrong for many, many years. When they leave, through remigration, or deportation; take your spawn with you.

How do they leave if the gravy train ends? Are they “saving” to cover that cost or are they going to add to the crime statistics? Or will some civil liberties organization stahl the process?

They can't use any foreign law as a binding precedent.
But they can review it and see if the logic applies here.
Basically they can look at anything brought before them that they want, but they can ignore it if they don't think it's a match to what they are discussing.
