Generally, most times you see the phrase, "Trump Appointee".

And, it is normal. It's how the payola scheme works.

What I'd suggest... is take careful note of those news sources calling this an "outrage" or whatever, and tag them as either clueless, fake-news clickbait, or outright gas lighting controlled opposition.

Those are exactly the three options for news sources / editorials running a story like this.

He absolutely should have. I obviously don't like this move, but the next Republican admin should be an appointment bloodbath. If the Dems want to go back to the old spoils system, then the Republicans would be stupid not to oblige. Of course, they'll complain endlessly when it happens in reverse, but complaining is their status quo, so fuck 'em.
