We have no legal rights to be in Syria , Let the Syrian people deal with Syrian problems. They didn't ask for our help , They didn't ask us to help over throw Assad. They didn't invite us in to break up their country into sections like they did in Yugoslavia, ( which was the plan) They didn't invite us in to secure their oilfields from them (and lol, Isis, what a joke.) The poor bastard backed the wrong side. happens in every war . Only God knows how many South Vietnamese were killed after the US pullout . US foreign policy is a friggen joke. It was the US that backed the muslim brotherhood in Tunisia Egypt and Syria . It was the US who sent weapons' from Benghazi Under Hillary Clinton to help over throw Assad, not defeat Isis. It was terrible leadership which got us into Syria in the first place. Trump had no real "" good moves"" left in Syria. Stay or leave . both have their pros and cons , but There were more pros than cons in leaving .The tragedy is good people like this are going to pay the price for piss poor leadership in the US

I agree. The problem is we went there and supported them then just abruptly left. I’m a pretty big fan of staying out of other parts of the world. If all other nation want to actually pitch in and help us then that’s fine but we do it all.

That would be nice but the state is going to continue to protect the interests of the military industrial complex.
Some people are worried about this unsustainable situation but most people are totally complacent about our future and hypnotized by the entretaintment, news and political systems that share many attributes among them.

America absolutely *is* the world's police force.

Whether we should continue to do that is another question entirely.

The *world* is undoubtedly better off for it. Pax Americana is real. Like many other things we do or have done it benefits everyone, ungrateful sons of bitches that they are.

It may even be in our best interest to continue, but that remains to be seen. The other options are to allow someone else to fill that role, or to let things slide back into the state that led to 2 world wars.

I am not sure we want to live in a world run by Russia, and I know we don't want to live in one run by China. I don't see any other options there.
