I think they're trying to prevent prophylactic prescriptions, since that kind of use has less data, in order to keep supplies available for "study patients" (who are essentially all COVID-19 ER patients) and patients that still need Plaquenil for their existing diseases.

This. It's used in treating at least some autoimmune disorders- Sjogren's comes to mind, maybe Lupus, probably others (I'm not a rheumatologist but I've met a few... ) So not just malaria, for those wondering.

Arizona (?) did same thing. It's not murder. there are a lot of people asking for this because they read about it on infowars or some such shit. We really need to defer to scientists who have studied these drugs under statistically relevant trials. If these drugs are proven effective, they'll be issued.

Sorry to hear it, I hope it helps, it is supposed to be good in the AI arena. One of the Rheum's tried to put my wife on it in conjunction with some of the other meds she takes, but some of the signs of an adverse reaction to it are symptoms she already had; in consult with her Neuro and others we declined.

About 2 weeks ago I tried to ask my doctors office about this. They acted like my request was totally unfounded and absurd.

I have an inflammatory disease called sarcoidosis, which this medicine is often used for successfully. When I mentioned that.... they didn't even respond to my messages. Interesting.

I believe this falls in direct contradiction with the law POTUS Trump signed allowing even experimental drugs for end of life patients... If I have it, and I want this, I should be able to get it, period! I choose my treatment, not the Gov't, or the Doctor! I pay out of pocket to exclude the insurance scrutiny as well... Fuck them all! Who the fuck is Cuomo to say I cannot try the virus the way I want to?
