I just have a backpack that contains everything I need. It's in the back of my Jeep in the trunk area. When I take a train to work, it's on my back. I see no need for an ankle rig. My pack is not far away.

I work around equipment with moving parts all day long. We are in a R&D organization, so we necessarily have removed covers and 'cheated' safety interlocks. There have been several instances of amputations, partial amputations, broken bones, and entrapment in machines in my work area. Keeping a tourniquet within reach could save either my own life or that of a coworker. It's simply habit for me now.
I keep my backpack with a more comprehensive FAK at my desk. It travels with me most of the time to/from work and out on the town. Carrying it with me everywhere at work is not practical though.

whats in the kit .. need a tourniquet .. rips my tee and makes one .. need a compression package .. tee works .. got a bleeder . put your finger in the hole
i'm just saying there is a lot you can do with out carrying more gear on you .. infection is your least worry .. just control the problem ..

I'm still amazed that it was only around 4-5 years ago I started carrying a knife at all times. I cannot believe how much I missed out on never having one before. I use it constantly and absolutely rely on it.

We utilize lockout/tagout when there's no need to keep the machine energized. Unfortunately, we need to make repairs and adjustments while the equipment is running more often than not.

Pad aka sponges. We switched to those years ago. Sucks inhaling that or getting on your eyeballs. Plus easier to irrigate the wound once they get to definitive care. I carry both (eg truck or car bags) just because I have it.

Received. No pouches but loops. Great for a knife with a clip. Great for a tourniquet if you tighten this to your leg. I emailed the seller and may wear the next three days as a test and will post

I guess it would have been nice if she didnt fall into the "tacticool trap" and decided meh why carry a first aid kit.. pretty sure the people she helped out feel the same way that she is getting dooped into being tacticool

No real medic would carry that on an ankle. They'd carry a satchel instead.

didnt know that if one was to get (this or any) ankle first aid kit they by law had to carry everything that this person in the picture had on them. guess i need to brush up on my penal law before getting one. and im not a medic, just someone that if by any small chance needed some immediate first aid would like to have options at my disposal

I only ankle carry when I have to. It isn't ideal.
My first aid kit is in the Jeep. If I feel I'll need it, I'll take it with me to where I'm going.
