I’m currently living in Massachusetts (for another 12-14 months). Comm2A is an organization in MA that pursues remedy for gun rights through the courts. They REALLY have their act together in playing the long and short game at local, state, and federal level. Very knowledgeable and strategic in their thinking and approach. Things would be much worse in MA without them. I will go make another donation to them.
I’m not in any way affiliated with them. Just have a lot of respect for them as they are quietly making a difference.
As I unfortunately often say it will be unlikely that SCOTUS will take any RKBA challenges without one more favorable change of composition to that bench. Chief Justice Roberts seems to exhibit a general support of the RKBA but is unwilling to allow a decision that, in his judgment, would create great upheaval in places like MA and NY in favor of the RKBA. That leaves the court split 4 in favor of RKBA, 4 opposed, and Roberts.
The NYSRPA case is the rare counter-example but one where SCOTUS will likely issue a non-RKBA decision in that case (on dormant commerce clause grounds).
