Another happy NY permit holder from westchester

Hey everyone! My name is Den from westchester Ny.
Ive been lurking around for a while getting information on here. But now that i finally have my pistol permit I’ve decided to sign up and make an account.

By the my handle you can kinda tell my first gun of choice is a glock (dispite how ugly i think they are). Im Looking forward in gathering more information and possibly joining some training classes ive seen listed here.

Lmao... it was actually click bait.... theres already too many angry threads. So i figured id switch it up.
To be honest i did alot of reading on here of peoples past experences before I went and applied for mine. So i was expecting alot worse. Everything went pretty smooth and quick surprisingly.

To be honest jem & patriot living in new york city and always seeing glocks on police officers i just thought they were ugly blocks of plastic. Then when i finally started shooting I would try all the guns that i thought “LOOKED” awesome or bad ass (from movies of course). But i just didnt like the way they felt in hand......or the trigger felt weird.....

When i finally tried a glock it felt the way I wanted and expected a gun to feel. So i had to tell myself its not about how the gun looks. Its how you feel when shooting it.

To think..... john travolta made it look so easy in face off lol

I'm not a Glockhead, but I do have 1, it is a G19, Gen 4. I like it, it works, but it is far from my favorite gun. If I only could keep 1, it would be either 1 of my 1911s, or my CZ Shadow!

Had the NY laws been different I wish I could own a gun permit without HAVING to buy a gun. Similar to a drivers licence. That way I could spend the first year or two shooting and getting fimilar with as many pistols as possible in NY. Most of my knowledge came from driving 40min into NJ once every two months to shoot and try different handguns. Most times I would shoot better with the glock then anything else I tried. which is why i ended up choosing it. Now that i have a point of reference Im sure ill end up getting different pistols based off their personal characteristics

I love my Glock 20 and I think its beautiful.
Plain, simple and works everytime.
Personally im more of an M&P person but glocks are the most popular for a reason.

Yea didnt realize it was special order either when I got to the gun store. I actually missed my first pistol permit interview cause the gun didnt arrive on time.
