I totally agree, but it’s the mag lock that he wanted from Mean Arms. I already planned on telling him to just spray paint it flat black...problem solved, lol. That Geissele Rapid Fire trigger is nice though.

I love that lower receiver bring back memories. I want to build my own rifle but don’t know which parts are good quality parts.
He had already bought that lower receiver from PSA. If it was up to me, I would have bought a different one. I’m sure it’ll work, PSA just has less quality control. For example, during this build when I went to install the buffer retaining pin, I found a bunch of caked in white powder jammed in it. The milling and finish isn’t quite as refined as nicer brands.

Ahh understand so what if I bought the M4A1 80% lower and just build around it?
If you’re looking for a lower that is specifically for an M4A1 clone receiver, get the Aero Precision lower. But if you don’t care that the lower specifically doesn’t say anything about M4A1, you’ve got lots of options. But I really like Aero Precision. Really nice quality and great prices.

Just standard semi-auto, but it has the mag lock so my buddy can retain all the features. But the Geissele Rapid Fire trigger feels like a very light single stage. It’ll definitely surprise you when it goes off.

Wait whoa you can have rapid fire or binary triggers with a fixed mag rifle? If that’s the case then this opens a lot of opportunities...... for me.
So non functioning (select fire markings) replica? Figured if he can have full auto why the need for a mag lock lol... Have a few Geissele triggers they're very nice.
Yeah, my buddy bought the lower. It’s PSA’s M4A1 clone receiver. So it pretty much just has the markings. He can’t have full auto, lol.

Is it okay if I bought a 80% lower and build it in PA with binary triggers and kept it in PA?
I could be wrong but I have not read any laws regarding anything with binary triggers being illegal. Are you dead set on doing an 80% lower for a specific reason?

See, look at that...I didn’t even see that stupid Senate Bill S2448, where they added binary triggers. This state is annoying. Personally I wouldn’t waste my time on a binary trigger anyway. It’s a gimmick really. At least that’s how I see it. Sure it’s fun and and easy way to send a crap ton of money down range quickly. Always liked the CTR stock, but my latest build I went with the Hogue overmolded collapsible. It's very similar, but less wobble on the buffer tube with no friction lock necessary, and more comfortable cheek weld.
My buddy chose all the accessories that he wanted since it’s his rifle. I have a couple new lowers coming from PSA. I'll have to try that stock out. I've used a few items from Bravo in the past, quality items.
Like I said, just wait to find a good sale. Aero Precision is absolutely a better company than PSA. And if you want an M4A1 Clone Lower, I just got an email that it’s on sale. It’s all about timing. You can make yourself a better build with some patience and knowing where to look.
