Another State Is Looking to Criminalize Improper Firearm Storage

From the article: "Kentucky State Representative Jim Wayne (D-Louisville) has pre-filed a bill for the 2018 legislative session. His first order of business: making it a crime to improperly store your firearm when children are present."

I'm all about safe storage but not at all about government mandating that I do it.

It's not about providing safe storage as it's an unenforceable law, or alternatively provides justification for entry absent a warrant...

All it is, is a feel good legislators effort to provide smoke and mirrors that they are actually doing something, anything...

Fact is it's an attempt to criminalise owning a firearm!

Fact is it's just another charge to throw at someone should an "event" occur!

Fact is it's a grievous extention by lawmakers into a citizens exercise of their Constitutional Rights!

It's all just a program to make the hoops too high to jump through, too difficult to deal with, too expensive to follow through, and an ever increasing encumbrance to endure, in order to own a firearm!

Wonder how they'd feel to provide the same hardships in order to Vote!?

I'm pretty sure this has ABSOLUTELY zero chance now that we have a Republican Governor, House, and Senate. Unlike the U.S., that means something here.
