was just going to post this - I agree.
Oregon in some regards is a lot like NY the whackos in the western part of the state the Portland metro and I-5 corridor ruin the state's politics for the rest of the people. Central and eastern Oregon is pretty conservative but just like us they don't have the population numbers so they get over rules by the commies in the cities.

Ive often wondered how it would work to have different "laws" within a state determined by size.
We all know that 99.9% of gun crimes happen in urban areas. Id say MOST guns in heavily populated urban areas are illegally owned by felons and used in crime.
So, lets say any city in Oregon with a population of over 2 million, can have their strict gun laws. People within certain zip codes will not be able to buy guns anywhere in the state. If you dont like it, move 20 miles away and commute to work.
Before anyone jumps down my throat, just let me say, I DO NOT agree with what I just said. In fact, 90% of what I think about gun laws and politicians I cannot say online for fear of retaliation from "the man".
Heres the thing. Urban gun toting thugs rarely leave the city and rural gun owners dont kill people so they dont need your laws.
If the thugs do decide to bring their violence to the country, we will take care of it.

Oregon is a nice state (like NY) until you get into the politics and laws of it. What a shame.

isn't this the same state where you are NOT ALLOWED to pump your own gas, also you must have permission from the government to "harvest/collect rainwater" you can't even collect rainwater from your roof without a permit?

ya, you should have seen a Muslim gas station attendant when 20 bikes pulled in and started filling our bikes. The poor guy was running around yelling "no,no, you no fill, you wait, no you stop, stop or I call cops"
we just laughed at him, pumped our gas and said you want to get paid or not. He reluctantly took our money and we left....freak'n idiots
