This is a bigger sham than the last. The Chief Justices has decided to sit this one out.

Even though....

In the case of presidential impeachment trials, the chief justice of the United States presides. The Constitution requires a two-thirds vote of the Senate to convict, and the penalty for an impeached official upon conviction is removal from office.

They are having a Trump Hating Senator run this "Trial".

Can things really get any worse??

The news said today they need 17 Republicans to vote for the impeachment. I was very confused by that. I thought it was simple majority.
They chose the democrats because they have 5-10 republicans that will come on their side or if they lose they can say that’s why and how evil the republicans are.

They don't want to impeach Trump, they want to appease their base. They need Trump to keep the focus off the shit show they are putting on.

If Trump is totally out of the picture what he hell are they going to talk about? Biden? They have gotten so used to talking about and trashing Trump they don't know what else to fill their time with. Try to fill that time with Biden and the world will see how naked the emperor really is.

The constitution say's "the chief justice SHALL preside", that right there may be kick in the dems asses that and the fact that Trump is no longer POTUS. Being wrongfully tried and convicted (assuming) then I think each and every one that participated in this shit show would be committing a crime and violating Trumps civil rights and thus be impeached themselves! my .02

This is really what it boils down too. Of course even if he is impeached there's nothing to say he can't start his own political party, stump for candidates, suggest policy, use his own bully pulpit. Unless Big Tech silences him (forever this time) or the mainstream media ignore him he could still throw around a lot of weight band influence.

God forbid, proof of extensive cheating were verified. Trump would win by default. (Not saying its going to happen), but it has to be going through their minds. An impeachment would ensure he could never sit as president now or in 4 years from now. This is the stake through the heart .

Heard Skummer saying yesterday that there's precedence to impeach Trump after leaving office. then I hear an interview with a so called expert he says the same thing using William Blount as an example so I look him up. He may have set precedence but in the opposite way than he was leading you to believe this is from List of Individuals Impeached by the House of Representatives | US House of Representatives: History, Art & Archives

Why are the republican's not Calling them out ? there is a lot of precedence just the opposite of what the dumocraps are saying they seem to leave out a very important fact when they say Well they are not telling you what the precedence is

Because it's about getting re-elected. Anything that hurts the democrat agenda against Trump, even if it is justified, hurts their public image. Politicians care about being re-elected above all else.

What you're suggesting a pack of nutless monkeys pursue justice instead of political gain.
