any fly fishermen here?

When I was kid, me and my brother use to go fly fishing all the time in Caledonia. It's been years, like 35/40 years since I was fly fishing. so last year I took up fly fishing for Bass.

My problem is, there are not to many places to buy fly's. I went to B-E Fish & Tackle but the guys looked at me like I had four heads when I asked about fly's for Bass. I did get a small fuzzy mouse from them, which I was pretty successful with.

Is there any other places around to buy flys around Rochester/Monroe county. or even around Watertown?

I'd like to get a 'crayfish' fly and maybe something that look's like a dragon fly?

Though I imagine you'd pay thru the nose and not really be able to gauge quality before buying.

Orvis. Pittsford Plaza. You'll pay for it, but they have some nice gear in there.

Good question. I didn’t know it was there until I went to EMS for the first time about a year ago. If you know where EMS used to be, Orvis is just a couple doors up.

Look on line the fly shack sells everything. Good quality flys for a fraction of the price of Orvis. Used to be $0.95 for all flies. Not sure on big bass flies though.

I been fly fishing for over 20 yrs.Always buy my flies on line.Tons of places out there.Orvis has some sales that are decent,but you can find many cheaper that are just as good.They are all made in some 3rd world country,even Orvis.
