Any lower Westchester machinists here?

I have a Hammer Head pistol grip stock adapter that I need cut about 1/2" shorter on the silver line and the inside threads cut deeper with an 1 3/16"-16 tap. I am looking for someone with a radial arm band saw or any saw that can clamp the adapter for a perfect cut and the tap. I will compensate you for your time.

I tried to cut it myself with a hacksaw in a bench vice but it came out less than perfect. I brought it to local machine shops and while they had the tap, they had no way to cut it straight.

I am looking for someone in lower Westchester that can do this if possible. Let me know. Thanks.

Can it be cut with a chop saw? I'd let you use mine. Then you have to the machine shop and have it tapped.

I haven't tried any local gun shops. I'll try the chop saw and if it doesn't work I'll order another adapter and try the gun shops.

Thanks togmaster for cutting the adapter today. It was nice to meet another forum member.

I sanded the piece square and it mates up perfectly with the stock. I wet sanded the cut end and now it looks like it came from the factory like this.

Wait, a machine shop originally told you they couldn't cut that straight? They were lying right to your face. They could have milled that off in no time.

I figured a machine shop could clamp it in a mill, level it off and in a few passes have it cut down. I went to two machine shops, one in New Rochelle and in in White Plains and they both said they could not do it. My guess is they just didn't want to do it. Probably not worth their time.
