I think OP is referring to going big game hunting (deer/ bear) as an option if one runs out of meat in this crisis even through it's not hunting season.I don't get your question.
I’ve got rabbits and squirrels a plenty out back that I can dispatch with a longbow. No need to raise attention by shooting game when not in season.
I like the Colibri .22 . It’s VERY quiet but not extremely accurate.Good point. My xbow and air rifle are g2g. I might try to shoot this months target challenge with calibri .22
EF that season bullshit. If I get to the point I need protein, I'm getting me some protein!!No need to raise attention by shooting game when not in season.

We're in really good shape for a while, we normally stay ahead of the curve when it comes to supplies. I've got a freezer full of venison, another freezer filled with homemade soups/stews/chili, etc.. Also have other meats in the freezer. Cupboards are full, garage shelves are loaded up. Like I said we'll be fine!
Oh, yea, AND............ if anyone tries to take my shit, or encroach on me,..... I'm just as well stocked on my defense needs!!
Oh, I hear ya on the stealth. I guess it just depends on where ya live, and where you'll be getting your 'protein nuggets'. If you're shooting in the city, vs. a rural area, I get it.I believe in stealth whenever possible
You honestly think that many people have enough ammo to survive for more than a bit?Personally I don’t think there will be many deer for long if it came down to any of us needing food. By that time I think a lot of the less prepared will have significantly thinned the deer population. That said I have no problem catching muskrat and beaver for a snack
