Anybody reload shotgun?

I bought 410 shotgun reloaded a month or so ago to load wheels up for my grandson.

It will do 2 1/2" or 3". What kind of shells should I be buying to reuse. I will be do I g the 2 1/2" ones for now.

Also has anyone loaded 410 using 444 Marlin cases.

A acquaintance said he sold all of his 444 Marlin cases to a guy that uses them for his 410.
At work yesterday I started to watch a video on you-tube about it.
I will watch the whole thing tonight.

My grandson can shoot two boxes up in a hell of a hurry.
He is shooting watered down 38spl and 357 magnum really decent.

man it really sucks that 410 shells are hard to find ( empty ) and it $$$ to buy new .. its a fun gauge for the young to shoot..

all the guys that shoot 410 for skeet here at the club pick them up and reload till the hulls are just gone and cant be shot again ..

wally world has 2 1/2" shells for $11 & change, I bought two boxes.
Next payday I will pick up another three boxes.
They had 550 round boxes of 22lr for $19 & change.
They had 17HMR for $11 & change.

I buy the store brand 12 packs of soda, I put a few on ice and the rest we shake up and he shoots them with the 17HMR, I blows the can apart, literly
I need to buy a shotgun reloading manual, wads, shot, primers and powder.

I'd like to find some one local that reloads shotgun to come over and help me get started when I get all the stuff together.

I dont know 410 that well. How you can tell if a hull is reloadable is to shoot one. Then you look at the inside of it. If it plastic under the brass then your good to go. If it looks like felt or some other material that isn't the same plastic as the hull then throw them away.

that should be all you need for reloading data ... green dot , red dot , unique powders
you can take the name brand wads listed and get ClayBuster wads equivalent



on shot gun hulls .. reload till the crimp splits basically .. heavy skeet shooters 410 reload and then even cut them down and keep going or hot glue ow melted wax the crimp shut .

I'll look for a video on shot gun hull differences for ya .. paper base , plastic base , high and low plastic bases .. straight hulls / taper hulls .. ect ..

back in a bit .. need to re-boot this damn PC

with the paper fiber .. there fine to reload , just keep them dry . if its wet you can run into issues ..
I take my paper bases one and put them on a cookie sheet and and hang over the wood stove in the shop to
make sure there good n dry ..
