Anybody got any good projects going at the moment? Myself I'm working on my G43 nothing to crazy Talon grips and a couple grip extensions.
Got a few Pierce extensions off eBay for cheap. I love the depth of skill and knowledge of the members here. What kind of grip extensions?
I am designing a new cartrige. It is a 7mm based on the 284 but to fit in the AR15.
I did an initial prototype but it needs some changes to give a bit more support at the base.
I feel your painI'm finishing a build and I have 4 different hand guards and I don't like any of them.
If you think 12" x 12" is big enough for a target, I have a piece of 11/16" x 12" x 6' hardwood from an old armoire. Narrow strips glued together. I could cut pieces so that you wold have strips 3" deep (front to back) x 11/16" wide x 12 " high. You would see the end grains of the strips (11/16" x 12"). You could clamp and glue 16 of these pieces together to give you a 3" thick square target 12" x 12" of end grain surface. You pay $60 for cutting and shipping. Wood is free (was going to dumpster it anyway). Will send pics to your email address. An option is to have someone cut a tree trunk into a slab that you could mount somewhere.I've basically always got a number of firearms apart and in many pieces for varied projects, most often action/trigger work. Right now the project that I want most at the top of my list is an 'End Grain' knife throwing target , but I can't really get it done because I don't have a currently functioning table saw (Circular/Miter/table/ whatever) to cut all the blocks , and don't have the money to be buying any major power tools. Frustrating.
Im gonna build one of those soon too. I started building some regular Target stands this weekend, and I recently finished a nice rifle build.I just purchased all the lumber I need to build a shooting table. Have not started it yet though.

Really nice bench. Throw in a couple of diagonal pieces for stability.I just purchased all the lumber I need to build a shooting table. Have not started it yet though.

I always have a few projects going.
1911
ARs (10and15) bolt actions
Remington 700 in 35 Remington
T/C in5.7x28mm
Other than that not much.
I have done 7 1911s, I have had this one for about 6 months I just keep forgetting to order the parts required to finish it.I've got my AR project as well that's scattered in multiple parts in multiple boxes on my work bench. Seems like something always comes up before I can work on it. I'd love to build my own 1911 too. Seems like it's out of my skill level at the moment but It's on My bucket list so il get it done eventually.
