Just wanted to see how everyone else is coping with the ammo shortage and staying in practice?

We skipped a class back in August because we wouldn't have been able to replace the ammo.
That tells me we didn't have enough stashed.
Of course, the sun rising in the morning tells me we don't have enough too.

I’ve shot a bit less this season for sure. I’m looking into laser trainers and other options to keep up skills.

Been shooting steel since last Nov/Dec with my 22's took some ribbing, now some of those are not shooting or are shooting their 22's! I'm sitting on my centerfire ammo and getting into reloading.

I was blessed to purchase a shitload of ammo and firearms from here the last two years. Unfortunately, I haven’t shot anything since I bought it since I had spine surgery. I’m hoping this spring I am well enough to start shooting again. I’m rusty as shit for not being able to pick up any firearms.

Yes. My stash is actually pretty healthy all things considered but I worry about how things will be long term. I don't see prices falling any time soon. Availability is still an issue too.
On a good note I saved a shit ton of money this year from not buying as much ammo as I usually do so there's that I guess. I wonder if that's how people who quit smoking feel?

A pellet gun is a beautiful thing.
I shot a decent amount this past year; on par with previous years. I sold a decent amount of ammo to some co-workers, at outrageous prices, as well.

Why are you guys not shooting the monthly challenge if you are feeling rusty? Five rounds per target. You get a chance to win a cool knife set and shake off the rust.

I got caught short back in 2013. I'm doing my best never to be in that position again.
Dry fire is good. Supplementing with .22 also helps the bigger stuff last longer. Reloading helps, especially if you can find deals on components.
At some point though, if you want to play the game you're going to have to pay.

Both. I have an rws and a Walther. Both are very powerful. The .177 breaks the sound barrier.
First thing I bought once I got my SIG was a .22 conversion kit... Just sayin'
Besides, got enough on hand for the Zombie apocalypse and don't need to shoot once a month to stay sharp. Plenty of reflexive drills out there to keep muscle memory on point. And I've surprised myself when I do go punch holes in paper just how well those exercises and drills do work!

I have plenty of ammo but I won’t ever buy any in this state again. Between not wanting to deplete any of the stash and most of my shooting buddies moved out of state I just don’t get out much. Practicing by yourself is boring and you can go through 100 rnds in 30 minutes.
In the fall I did some .22 rifle but it’s to cold for me to sit at a bench now.
I looked into mantis and blow back airsoft pistol but I’d be just kidding myself thinking I’d actually use it. So why waste the money
