Anyone every order from or hear of Karri’s guns?

I want to get a .22 LR Ar-15 for my kids. They are afraid to shoot the .223 and 6.8SPC o have. I’m hoping this will get them to transition. Plus it’s just plain fun.

If not open to other options that are reasonably priced. Not looking to spend $700-$900 like some are asking for them. Also I dislike PSA and would prefer to avoid them at all costs.
Other option is a full auto bb gun in the AR-15 platform.

I have one, it's fun. Just make sure you shoot full power loads thru and they recommend jacketed bullets.

Plus one round of .223 thru afterwards cleans the barrel out nicely or so I'm told.

Another vote for the conversion kit. You can put together a cheap upper or complete AR and run the conversion kit in it if you want to keep things separate.

On further reflection I'd like to double down on the conversion kit particularly if you already have a featureless upper. I have to imagine the conversion kit plus some .22 AR mags is way cheaper than building a dedicated featureless .22 upper.

And I can't imagine the kids having any fun with it at all if they're top loading a fixed mag with .22 on an unneutered rifle.

Not a bad plan. You guys like the conversion kits that much huh? I always heard mixed things in them.
I have a featureless riffle that might work out for. If not I think I have everything except another upper for a fixed mag build. I’ll talk with the kids to see what direction they want to go with. If they want fixed mag I might just get this dedicated .22 lr upper since buying an upper and the conversion kit would be about the same. My kids usually shoot for bullseyes so that might be more accurate.

If you want an accurate *and* semi .22, I would go with something else (conversion kit or dedicate upper, either way). I am not sure you're going to be happy (unless you spend some coin) with an AR, dedicated or not. How about the venerable 10/22 (though I assume you already have one)?

I will say the conversion kit "is what it is"- and it occasionally fails to feed (maybe one round out of 10 mags) It is definitely not the be all end all but for me it is a good, cheap training and plinking tool. For me, not a target tool so much as repurposed for cheap muscle memory work (and fun). It's functional but I wouldn't hunt or compete with it from an accuracy perspective.

I haven't ever top loaded .22 but I can't imagine it is any fun... at all. I know top loading 9mm is a pain in the ass which is one of many reasons my AR9 build was featureless.

I do have a slicked and scopes 10/22 for the kid. He loves it. I just want to transition him to something more than a .22 but he seems scared of other larger calibers. I was hoping this could transition him.

Where are you finding the compliant SW MP-22. Around me at gun shows they are $600 give or take. I tried finding a fixed mag version and really couldn’t find one. Not sure a featureless one would tickle their fancy. If that’s the only option I think I’m better off sticking with the .22’s I have currently.

Here is one option in stock. You would need a compliant grip/stock config to take it home from your FFL but probably doable for under $550 or so.

There are also some fairly accurate reproduction (and heavy-ish) metal airsoft rifles out there, though I have no idea of their accuracy or effective range. Might be an option.

I had an AR-15 pattern selective fire semi auto 6 shot burst co2 BB gun and we all loved it. It didn’t last long. I hear cross man came out with a new one that is getting rave reviews.
maybe I’ll go that route.

The only thing I remember is the shipping method required my signature. I wasnt home, and had to goto the Fedex depot to get it. Not a big deal, but just FYI.

Its been a while since I shot mine for groups, but its good enough for plinking.

Acceptable, not exceptional to say the least. I can reliably ring a railroad plate at 50 yards, standing/kneeling from different angles of attack on the range- while moving- which is about all I need when I'm running this setup.

I guess that’s all that’s needed. The .22lr wouldn’t really be all that effective past that distance anyway. Right? Maybe 75?

This is 10 shots at 25 yards in about 30-40 seconds. If I was patient I could have done a bit better.
