Anyone know a good barrel threading gunsmith?

I'd like to thread the barrel on my colt junior but am having no luck. As far as I can see there were never threaded or extended barrels made for this pistol. The only thing ever offered was the astra cub camper that has a 4 inch barrel but it was in 22 short (astra cub and colt junior parts are interchangeable).

I called Tornado Technologies and they told me they could do it. The guy said he'd actually done them before and even described the fluting on them and how doing it would be ugly. So I sent in the barrel and they called me and said they don't do them! Needless to say I was pretty pissed. To add insult to injury the lady I spoke with said they could do it but they just don't work on those pistols. I called Aquila firearms and he referred me to Tornado smh. Any help would be appreciated.

I have heard good things about blue tuna gun smithing. It's here in Buffalo, NY. Not sure they will do it or do that sort of thing, but worth a phone call.

I've actually used this guy before. He lives about 10 minutes away from me. He threaded my AR and does top notch work. I don't know why I haven't called him yet. Hopefully he can do something. This job is particularly unique because of the barrels profile. It would obviously be pretty easy if it was simply an extended barrel but an extension that is threaded itself has to be added to the barrel. If only the pocket 1908 had the same barrel. It's close but doesn't have the lug in the front like on the junior/astra barrel and the locking lugs are too far back. The baby browning is even closer but the locking lugs are the rear as well. Hopefully something can be done so that I can put that much needed thread protector on this pistol.

He's so good that it'll take over a month to even have him work on your barrel. At least that's how it was 2 years ago. He has tons of customers.

OP, if you don't want to wait, try Murray''s in Texas. I had an SKS barrel threaded by him along with other work on AR's Just mail it out.
