Yes I would do night crawlers as well. I agree the red wiggles are ok for trout but nothing else.I got mine from the yard and supplemented with Uncle Jim’s Worm Farm.
Do not get red wigglers unless you are doing for composting and casting only.
too small to fish which is why I got them.
I swear they ate our big nightcrawlers.

My thoughts exactly.What do you do with them in the winter? Garage?
I thought about building something to keep worms but don't want to start from scratch every spring.
