Anyone uses Cajun Custom parts in their CZ?

i recently started a collection of CZ handguns: SP-01 Tactical, P-07, P-10C and 82.

I’ve been debating on tinkering with the P-07 and SP-01 using Cajun parts. Online says it’s GTG but I want a second opinion before I start down this road.

I’m thinking of doing the Pro-Level kits as they basically drop in and require zero cutting/drilling.

My next and second to last will be a P-01 or Shadow 2. Which ever I find first at a solid price.

I've bought sights and roll pins from them. Sights were made by Dawson. Everything I've heard about them is positive. I wouldn't hesitate to use anything they sell.

I received my Rami BD back from them yesterday. I opted for the pro carry package with the race hammer. It’s pretty incredible. DA pull is at 7 pounds, SA just above 2 pounds. The RAMI was brand new and I didn’t want to ruin it. Sending it to them added almost $200 and took about 3.5 months to come back though. For what it’s worth they were very friendly and communicated with me throughout the entire process. The smith doing the work, not a random customer service rep.

I also have the CZ bug bad.

How do you like that P-10C? I had to stand on the mag release to get it to drop yesterday at the shop. Did that loosen up over time?

The P10C mag release is super heavy after about 200 rounds. I’ve heard this is common and it’ll get easier. When I dryfire I fill a mag full of SnapCaps and drop the mag a bunch. Them P10C is still new to me, so I’m working on it.

Ha - Yea! Of CZ for sure. Ironically, I don't have any Cajun mods on any of mine. One was done by CZ Custom (bought it new), another was done by Automatic Accuracy (guy I bought it from used them). I would not hesitate to use Cajun though. If I wasn't broke from my latest non-CZ purchase, I'd buy a Cajun gun and write up a comparison of the three...

While the P07 trigger isnt amazing it also isnt horrible. But just adding the $31 made the trigger night and day better (I did follow some of Cajun Gun Works step by step super detailed thread on how to polish the internals)

CGW is well worth the money l and will make any cz even better. (As for cz customs I am sure they are on par with CGW I believe its probably a Ford vs chevy argument both good but people are brand loyal, I happen to be a CGW fan)

Here is my Shadow that came through the CZ Custom shop, then went to CGW for it's final mods. My Buddy actually had it all done when he bought the gun. We were shooting one day at our range and we had a bunch of our guns out. He realized I had a gun he really wanted, so we did a trade. I couldn't be happier. Everybody who shoots this gun can't believe it.

This is what I refer to as my "Race Gun"!!

I think I have that thread for internal polishing bookmarked. I was looking at the trigger, just haven’t pulled the trigger on my first upgrades.

I highly recommend spending the $7 on the trigger return spring, it's a known weak point in CZ and the cgw one it's much more reliable and will even give a better trigger

I had a PCR that I did all a Cajun work to. I did it in 2 steps. Good people to deal with and the parts perform as advertised. I thought the trigger as very good but not perfect. That said if it were the full sized 75 I would likely still own it.

Was the PCR an attempted IWB carry gun? Or were you just not fond of having a midget 75?

It was mostly for range work. I liked the pistol and would have liked to keep it, but I wanted a pistol with a longer sight radius for competition and target. It was traded for a G34 MOS, if it was a full sized 75 I would have kept it.

And you have to find one, too. Back in I think the Fall I was shopping for one- they were back ordered like a year. I wound up with a 75 BD which I'm very happy with (and which will someday go to these guys for the carry package).

Be warned the pcr feels great in the hand, but the factory sights are about the worse of any factory pistol.

I’m comfortable with small things . I also have a suturing setup with hemostat clamps, multiple toothed and toothless forceps along with a magnified work station. I should, should, be good.

I recently finished my SP01. Put in the CGW Pro package, shadow 2 mag release, extended safety, SS guide rod with 11# spring, CGW EZ 9/40 sights (made by Dawson),11# main spring and removed FP block and put on LOK grips. I also polished all the internals got the DA down to about 5# and SA about 2#.
No fitting was required to do the work, all parts are drop in. Only the safety needed a little fitting. For the price you could buy a Shadow 2 when all said and done but I love the feel of my SP01 and have transformed it to a raced out production gun. Plenty of good videos on YouTube and other forums on how to do the work.

What made you choose the 11# vs others? I am hesitant to go so light as I fear it limit the ammo I can put through it.

Do you notice any increased finickiness or other malfunction issues?

I’ve only put 350 rounds through it since my upgrades but have had no light strikes or any other malfunctions. As long as you put a extended Firing pin you’ll be fine. Some people use the 8.5# main but that’s a little light for me. I’ve only been firing Federal ammo through it so not sure about other stuff. Most of the competition shooters are running 11 main and 11 recoil springs which seems to be the most commen combination on the CZ and Enos forums.

I installed the Cajun Pro package in both of my P-09's, Plus some of their other goodies that the "metal" CZ models come with already.
Best thing you can do to a pistol that really is a great pistol out of the box, as you know already.
There's also plenty of great support for their products, if you need it, which you don't usually find now a days.
