Anyone with a Ruger 96/44 lever?

Anyone here ever shot a Ruger 96/44 lever gun? Did you have any issues? What is your opinion on them? Do they cycle 44 Specials? I know these rifles are not that common but I like older Rugers.

I’ve shot a limited amount if 44 special. I didn’t have any problems. I usually save the specials for my SW 629, as my arthritis in my thumbs feel the mags.

Yeah I do not shoot my 44 mag revolver that much either, kicks the crap out of my wrists.

Yeah, I hear you. I’m actually thinking of selling my 629 Classic. It sux getting old.

A box of 50 44 Magnum lasts me 5 years! Shoot 4 or 5 shots a year and that is it!
