"New York State Police arrested Matthew D. Cron, age 31 of Apalachin, NY for the felony of Burglary in the first degree. "
"Cron is accused of displaying a gun and stealing a victim’s cell phone and money from another victim on September 21 around 10:30 p.m. while in the town of Union. "

Many people associate burglary with theft. However, while a theft can occur during a burglary, it is not necessary that you actually steal something. Burglary is defined as the unlawful entering of someone’s property with the intent to commit a crime. The crime could be larceny.
