AR-Pistol in Westchester

Hello everyone,

I recently sent an amendment form to add an AR-Pistol to my permit and received a letter back with my amendment stating that the "description, caliber and type of gun are not considered a valid pistol" The funny thing is, I had an AR-Pistol before in my permit, which I eventually sold. Now, when trying to add a new one, they are telling me is not "valid". Is there anything new that I should know?

I guess that's a start but probably would get 100 different answers then again it's Westchester county NY crowd behind the wheel of gun control dysfunction

Make: ANM (Lower is an Anderson)
Model: AM-15
Caliber: Multi
Serial #: XXX

Ask the permit office what a complete description looks like to them. No one else can answer. They probably want:
Manufacturer
Model
Caliber
Serial #
Barrel length (?)
Favorite sex position

ETA - I added the last one. They prob don’t need that.

That is exactly how I did it and sent the form. Just got it back like an hour ago. I called RescueStuf, and they said that they county is basically not accepting multi cal amendments.

Well. quick follow up. I spoke with @Bullet Guy and had a great conversation about the subject. Following that, was the phone call to the Sgt. where I guess people in westchester barely add lowers into their permits because he knew right away who I was. He explained that the reason why they didn't accept it was because he needs to visually inspect that the magazine is not removable. He said to get it done and call him to schedule a day for me to bring the lower to him for him to approve and add it to the permit. I had told me that previously that did not happen to me, he said, "how do I know you are doing it correctly" which I said "I absolutely understand what your saying, but if I were to do it improperly, then I would be the one in trouble, not you". So I'm just gonna finish it up and call him.
